Who it is for
For anyone who needs to stay a few days near Policlinico Umberto I (appointments, day hospital, a relative in hospital), for parents accompanying their children to Sapienza University for admission tests, exams or graduation, for conference guests at the Città Universitaria, or for those who want to enjoy San Lorenzo while staying in a quiet home.
Getting to the Policlinico and Sapienza
Tram 19 starts from Via Prenestina, runs past Porta Maggiore and Scalo San Lorenzo and reaches Viale Regina Elena, next to Sapienza’s Città Universitaria and Policlinico Umberto I. By taxi it usually takes 10–15 minutes, traffic permitting. Before you travel, check the ATAC website for works on the line: sometimes the tram is replaced by buses.
Arriving by train at Termini
From Termini station tram 14 runs to Pigneto along Via Prenestina; alternatively take Metro A to San Giovanni and then Metro C, whose station is a 3–5 minute walk from the apartment.
Why an apartment instead of a hotel
A fully equipped kitchen to cook simple meals or follow a diet, air conditioning, Wi‑Fi for work or study, a private terrace to unwind after a day at the hospital or university, and room for three people. And you deal directly with the owner, on WhatsApp too.
Stays of several weeks
For a relative’s long hospital stay, an internship or a study period, write to us with your dates: we will check availability for longer stays together.
The neighbourhood
In Pigneto you have supermarkets, pharmacies, cafés and restaurants a few steps away, and Metro C takes you to the Colosseum with no changes. Read our neighbourhood guide.
